BLUE LIGHTS THURSDAY NIGHT

Back by popular demand! It will be another night of Blues featuring some of Victoria's finest musicians, thrown together to create blues magic!

This time the Blue Lights Band will be comprised of Ashley Wey tickling the ivories, Tom Bowler massaging the guitar, Matt Pease teasing the skins. and Tony (Dr. T) Genge blazing away on organ and bass!

This night's featured guests are mighty blues singers Hank Lionhart and Rita McDade:

Former Edmonton and current Victoria resident Big Hank Lionhart has been singing the blues professionally since 1974. He is a former RCA Recording Artist and member of the Victoria Music Hall of Fame.
He and his band Uncle Wiggly’s Hot Shoes Blues toured extensively in the 1980s, opening for such legends as Muddy Waters, Joe Cocker, James Cotton, Koko Taylor and Paul Butterfield.

Gentle Heart, Screaming Soul... Music flows through her blood. Rita's a Lifer!
Also a former Edmonton resident who now makes Victoria her home, Rita's infectious crowd connecting stage energy, combined with sultry vocals steeped in raw emotion bring electricity to all the stages she graces. Blues, Jazz, Rock & R&B music styles inter-twine her performance and unique phrasing style.
