Returning again from Academic Hiatus, your favourite young funk collective is kicking into gear for the holiday season - keep your eye out for them in the Vancouver Island Area!
Playing a tight, high-energy blend of Funk, Soul, Jazz Fusion, and RnB, these cats bring the party, and are not the band to miss. The band features a Full Rhythm section and tight Horns, as well as this show’s powerhouse vocalists, Felicity Baker & Kalil Bailey.

Composed of a diverse and ever growing roster of musicians from across Canada, with members returning to the island for the holidays, having attended various music education institutions across the continent including: Humber College, McGill University, and the Berklee School of Music. These hotshots, coupled with the experience of established gigging musicians, creates a diverse blend of influence that cuiminates in a captivating stage show that’s nothing if not a good time.
Founded in Victoria, the Phatfunks have been active on the West Coast since 2014, playing festivals, bars, and private events, including: TD International Jazzfest, Victoria International Skafest, Garden City Grooves, the Eventide Music Series, and many more.
